The MH-53E Sea Dragon

The MH-53E Sea Dragon is the Navy’s dedicated Airborne Mine Countermeasures platform and is capable of mine hunting, mine sweeping, and mine neutralization through the use of various AMCM devices towed behind the aircraft, according to the US Navy. It is considered a “heavy-lift helicopter” and can transport troops and equipment from ship to shore quickly. There are only 29 of these helicopters currently in operation with the military and one will be coming to New Century Air Center!
